BANGOR, Maine –  Police say three bodies have been found in a burned-out car in a parking lot in Bangor, Maine, and investigators have declared the deaths suspicious.

Sgt. Paul Edwards says the fire was reported by someone heading to work just before 4 a.m. Monday. Witnesses say the fire was hot enough to burst the car’s windows and pop its tires, leaving a charred hulk.

The deputy chief medical examiner has been summoned to the scene to remove and identify the bodies.
