A spectacular six-alarm fire in a Bronx apartment building left 28 firefighters and two civilians with minor injuries early Wednesday.

The blaze broke out at in the attic of a six-story building at 975 Walton Ave. in the Fleetwood neighborhood about 12:15 a.m., authorities said.

Six alarms means about 50 fire companies with more than 220 firefighters battled the blaze as a portion of the roof to collapsed and temperatures outside reached into the low 80s.

The flames were brought under control just before 4 a.m. Emergency workers were able to evacuate all the tenants.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
