EL AL Maintains Regular Flight Schedule

New York, NY — July 15, 2014 — In an expression of solidarity with the people of Israel, a delegation of 35 prominent American Jewish leaders departed on EL AL Israel Airlines. The leaders are meeting with top government officials to gain insight and first-hand knowledge of the existing situation. They are also traveling to areas greatly impacted by current events to meet with local residents. Robert G. Sugarman, Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, and Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman/CEO, are leading this delegation.

Just returning from Israel after a week-long stay of touring the country is American actress and singer Vanessa Williams and her daughter. This was their first visit to the Holyland and included an extensive tour of historical, natural and contemporary sites throughout the country, from the Sea of Galilee, Haifa and Safed to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

EL AL continues to maintain its regular flight schedule of offering up to five daily nonstops from the USA (except for Shabbat). Due to the current situation, anyone travelling to Israel on EL AL now through Tuesday, July 22nd can reschedule their flights for up to 6 months without penalty by contacting their travel agent or calling EL AL at 1-800-223-6700.  However, if there is a fare difference on the rescheduled flights, that amount will be charged.
