Congregation Beth Sholom of Lawrence gets to embrace and honor “Generations” of its own at this year’s 62nd Testimonial Dinner on Sunday, March 23.

Jenny and Mordy Lent. The Lents have now joined an elite group of second-generation honorees. Growing up in Lawrence and fortunate enough to have been brought up attending Beth Sholom on a weekly basis, Jenny now has the privilege of sharing that experience with the next generation, her and Mordy’s six children. They have become dynamic representatives of everything Congregation Beth Sholom has to offer the greater Five Towns community. Be it organizing Beth Sholom’s soup kitchen during Superstorm Sandy, running minyanim, or participating in sisterhood communitywide events, Jenny and Mordy represent the very best of what Beth Sholom’s next generation has to offer.

Rabbi Kenneth Hain. Congregation Beth Sholom also has the opportunity to commemorate over two generations of Rabbi Hain’s service and devotion to the shul and mark his 25th year as spiritual and communal leader. He has been an extraordinary inspiration to not only Beth Sholom’s congregants, who are fortunate to hear him speak each week, but the greater Five Towns community as well. Rabbi Hain’s spiritual guidance and halachic wisdom have propelled Beth Sholom to the forefront of Modern Orthodox Jewry in the United States.

Please join Beth Sholom as the congregation celebrates and commemorates Rabbi Hain and Jenny and Mordy Lent’s continued service at the annual gala on Sunday, March 23, to be held at the shul, 390 Broadway in Lawrence. To make your reservation, please contact the shul office at 516-569-3600, ext. 21 or visit www.bethsholomlawrence.org. v
