A large, enthusiastic crowd of supporters gathered at the home of Lauren and Michael Zuckerman last Monday on behalf of BINA Stroke and Brain Injury Assistance, the only Jewish organization providing guidance and assistance to brain-injury survivors of all ages and their families.

The event featured remarks by Chavie Glustein, director of BINA, who spoke movingly of her personal experiences which led to the founding of BINA in 2003, and of the organization’s rapid growth since that time providing unique services to an underserved population. Host Michael Zuckerman addressed the gathering with words of support and encouragement for BINA.

An inspirational video was shown featuring brain-injury survivors telling their stories and describing BINA’s impact on their lives. The evening concluded with brief remarks by Daniel Simon, BINA’s director of development, asking for the community’s continued support of the only Jewish organization guiding brain injury survivors and their families as they navigate the complex world of brain injury.

BINA provides rehabilitation referrals, case management, crisis intervention, support, and education to thousands of stroke and brain-injury survivors resulting from car accidents, falls, strokes, brain tumors, and other neurological conditions which can affect every function. BINA can be contacted at 718-645-6400 or info@binausa.org.
