Israel Police set up checkpoints around Jerusalem Sunday evening, after an unknown Arab assailant stabbed a Jewish pedestrian near the Old City’s Damascus Gate, initial reports said.
The assailant stabbed the victim, a man in his early 30s, with a screwdriver, and then fled on foot.
The victim, who sustained light to moderate wounds in the attack, managed to reach the Jewish Western Wall area and alerted authorities. He was brought to hospital, according to Live-News.
