A baby boy was taken to the hospital after being struck by a school bus while his mother was pushing him in his stroller in Brooklyn, authorities said.
Witnesses said that the mini-bus nicked the child — who appeared to be about 1 year old — in the head while his mother was crossing the street with another child.
“The school bus overshot the stop sign as the girl with the baby was going across,” said Mario Perez, 72. “They nicked him.”
The boy’s mother was crossing the street at 20th Avenue and 62nd Street when the bus hit him, authorities said. The mother calmly held the child in her arms after the accident, pressing ice against his head, witnesses said.
The child was taken to Maimonides Hospital in unknown condition.
