Community Assistance Center In Woodmere

County Executive Ed Mangano with rabbanim and community leaders at the Young Israel of Woodmere.

The Young Israel of Woodmere, in conjunction with the Nassau County Office of Emergency Management, will be running a community assistance center. The center will be staffed at all times by members of the Nassau County Office of Emergency Management, FEMA, and New York State.Agencies that will be at the center include FEMA, SBA, Insurance, Health and Aging, Social and Rehabilitation Services, crisis counseling, state and local agencies, hazard mitigation, IRS, Step Program, OEM Insurance, Nassau County Disaster Assistance, DMV, IAP, and PAR.The center is located at 842 Glen Drive (enter from the YIW parking lot). Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. and Friday 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
