Community Chest Donates AED

x3In accord with the wishes of the family of Eric Matza, who recently passed away after an extended illness, all the board members of the Five Towns Community Chest donated money for the purchase of an automated external defibrillator (AED) for Hatzalah, and $1,800 for the new equipment was presented on Tuesday to Rabbi Kanner at the Hatzalah satellite headquarters on West Broadway in Woodmere. A memorial plaque bearing Eric’s name will grace the apparatus.

With profound sorrow, Barnett informed me Erica’s passing away. Please accept my sincerest condolences from Israel. The contribution to Hatzalah is generous and meaningful and will perpetuate Eric’s memory and all the good deeds he accomplished during his lifetime.
