The Friends of Israel Disabled Veterans held a 5K run on Sunday, April 27 at North Woodmere Park. Among the hundreds that came in support of the cause was a local group who firmly believe in perpetuating living the active life. The group was none other than CrossFit 136.
CrossFit 136 members, led by head coach Orrie Markfeld, participated in the 5K North Woodmere Run to help raise funds and awareness for wounded heroes.
Last month’s 5K is just one of the philanthropic events that CrossFit 136 takes part in. Every October, the worldwide CrossFit community comes together to raise money and awareness in the battle against breast cancer.
