DRS National Merit Scholarship Finalists

This year, two DRS seniors, Yitzei Scheinman and Aryeh Kaminetsky, have qualified as finalists for the National Merit Scholarship. This is a prestigious honor, and it reflects the high level of education that DRS strives to deliver to its students, as well as the level of commitment and work expected of them. The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic scholarship competition for recognition and college scholarships administered by National Merit Scholarship Corporation, a privately funded, non-for-profit organization. Each year a total of approximately 8,000 students are awarded scholarships, which represents less than 1% of the initial pool of entrants. Students who qualify as finalists have an outstanding academic record, are endorsed and recommended by a school officials, and earn very high PSAT scores. Half of those who qualify as finalists are awarded the special scholarship. v
