Financier charged with Facebook IPO ‘scam’

A former high-flying financier has been charged with swindling investors eager to cash in on Facebook’s much-hyped initial public offering last year.
Craig Berkman — a 71-year-old venture capitalist and former candidate for Oregon governor — was charged in an $8 million scheme that capitalized on the social-media craze.
