Flatbush Jewish Community Unites Behind NYPD

New Yorkers are shocked and devastated by the murders of two of New York’s finest in the line of duty. In response, Jewish community representatives from the Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition (FJCC), Hatzolah of Flatbush, and Flatbush Shomrim are spearheading a memorial fund in partnership with State Senator Simcha Felder, Assembly members Steven Cymbrowitz, Dov Hikind, and Helene Weinstein, and City Council members Chaim Deutsch and David Greenfield to honor the memories of the slain officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.

This special fund will financially assist the NYPD widows and orphans and demonstrate the community’s heartfelt appreciation, condolences, and support to the members of the NYPD. Leaders from the FJCC, Hatzolah, and Shomrim have personally addressed commanders and police officers to express communitywide solidarity with the NYPD at this difficult time.

Funds will be distributed in consultation with and guidance from Brooklyn South NYPD precinct commanders.
