State Senator Todd Kaminsky has been endorsed for reelection by Governor Andrew Cuomo. While representing the South Shore, Kaminsky has led the fight to keep Long Island affordable and advocated to extend the property-tax cap, voted over 175 times against raising taxes, and brought back an additional $20 million in school aid for Southwest Nassau schools.
“Long Island families and seniors have been overtaxed by Albany for years and it’s refreshing to know that Governor Cuomo has heard our call,” said Senator Todd Kaminsky. “In Albany, I voted against over 175 tax hikes and passed a tax cut for Sandy victims because we need relief immediately. I was proud to join the governor by passing a historic $4 billion middle-class tax break and I look forward to working with him to extend the property tax cap and finally bring wholesale ethics reform to Albany. I’m honored to have Governor Cuomo’s support and together we’ll make Long Island a more affordable place to live and raise a family.”
In endorsing Todd Kaminsky, Governor Cuomo said, “Todd Kaminsky is an exemplary public servant who always puts the South Shore of Long Island first and I’m proud to support his campaign for reelection. A former federal corruption prosecutor, Todd does what’s best for Long Island—not a political party or special-interest group. That’s why he has stood up to defend the property-tax cap, worked to boost school funding in Southwest Nassau by $20 million, and is fighting to pass wholesale and comprehensive ethics reform.”
