HAFTR High School is pleased to announce that four of its students have been named National Merit Commended Students. Earlier, two students, Justin Lish and Yoni Kastner, were named National Merit Semi-Finalists. The Commended Students are Isaac Adlerstein, Mikayla Fuchs, Jacob Hoffman, and Deena Kopyto. These students were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program for their exceptional academic promise based on their outstanding performance on the 2014 PSAT. These students join the 34,000 other high performers in the country who earned a Selection Index (total of all of the parts of the PSAT) of 202 or higher. Commended Students place among the top 5 percent of the more than 1.5 million students who entered the competition by taking the 2014 PSAT exam. HAFTR is proud of all outstanding scholars and extends best wishes to all of the students and their families.
