Holland Tunnel Reopens

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey reopened the  Holland Tunnel, which connects Jersey City to Lower Manhattan, at 5 a.m. on  Wednesday, November 7, 2012.

The tunnel was closed because of flooding from storm surge  caused by Superstorm Sandy.

It was reopened to buses earlier this week.

On an average weekday, an estimated 91,000 vehicles use  the Holland Tunnel.
