Among American organizations devoted to preserving the entirety of the Land of Israel, there is unprecedented excitement in advance of the Gush Katif Museum dinner due to be held in Brooklyn on February 22. All friends of Israel feel an obligation to support the museum, enabling it to expand and be fully equipped to receive all the many groups and delegations these organizations send to Israel.
Visitors to the museum are always deeply moved. After a visit there, even those of left-wing orientation become supporters of preserving the entirety of the land. Left-wing Knesset members and parliamentarians from many lands generally conclude their visits by writing in the visitors book “Never again!” They vow never to allow destruction of Jewish settlements, which only worsens Israel’s security and brings no peace, besides the destructive effect on the deported families.
At the dinner, an appeal will be held to pay for “days” of the year at the museum. The cost of a day will be a reasonable sum, affordable to most people, and the donor can select the day most preferable, such as a birthday, wedding anniversary, or yahrtzeit of a loved one. The dinner will also fund construction of a philanthropy center for distributing food and other assistance to Gush Katif deportees, many of whom remain unemployed since the expulsion and have used up their compensation, leaving them without any home or source of livelihood.
Registration for the dinner is soon closing, as space in the hall is limited. To ensure your attendance, RSVP ($250 per single) by phone at 718-989-2767 mail your check to “Friends of Gush Katif Museum”, 383 Kingston Ave. Brooklyn, NY 11213, suite 155, e-mail your request to GushKatifMuseum@hotmail.co.il, or pay online at www.sos-israel.com. This and all other contributions are tax-deductible.
