Is Losing Weight The Unnatural Way Worth It?

By Shirley Bar
Way too many people come to me after they have been to conventional diet programs and nutritionists, and they are just sick and tired of being sick and tired. They lose weight the unhealthy way, eating processed, sugar-free “stuff,” counting calories instead of nutrients, and end up gaining it all back because it’s just not a heathy way to live and the body can’t handle it anymore.
Probably the most important insight I can give you is that our bodies are our best friends. The body wants to get rid of extra weight, it wants to heal, and it wants to be healthy. Do we give it the opportunity to do just that? Or do we ingest sugar-free chemicals and processed food as long as it’s low-calorie?
My mission is to educate you, to make you realize that you can have a win-win situation. You can lose weight, while doing it in the healthiest possible way. Although each person is different, the health concepts that I work with remain the same for everyone, and that is because all of our bodies work the same. We are not meant to take in chemicals; we are not meant to ingest drinks that have zero calories but have an enormous amount of toxins. I sometimes feel as if the conventional diet programs are there to promote sickness, not health.
Just two weeks ago, I started seeing a client who came from the conventional way of thinking—and couldn’t lose a pound. After a week on my program, she lost six pounds, and three more on week two. Another client started the program nearly five weeks ago and has started to go to the bathroom twice a day—whereas on the conventional diet she went once every three or four days.
I believe that awareness is key. We all should be aware of the times that we live in. We should all realize that the big food industry is not looking out for our best interests, and we should become our own “doctors.” It is doable to lose weight in a healthy way—in a way that promotes longevity, energy, and happiness. If you are feeling deprived in any way while on a diet, it means that your body needs more. It needs vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and phytonutrients. It needs antioxidants, chlorophyll, and so much more! Are you giving your body all of that? Are you cleaning your body internally as you clean it externally? I bet the conventional diet nutritionist never told you about that. It’s time somebody does.
If you would like to hear more and join the revolution that I have started here in the Five Towns and in Brooklyn, you are welcome to come to a free lecture on Tuesday, November 25. Whether or not you join the program, you will learn new and important concepts that can change your life forever.
I wish good health to everyone. Please don’t forget that when you “start a diet,” eventually you also go off of it. My program is not a diet—it’s phase 1 of the rest of your life.
