Former WBA world junior middleweight champion Yuri Foreman, continued his successful comeback on Wednesday night at the Roseland Ballroom, in  Midtown Manhattan, winning a unanimous decision against Jamaal Davis. All three of the judges submitted the same score of the bout, 80-72, in favor of the aspiring rabbi from Brooklyn.

It was the fourth fight for Foreman since returning from a nasty knee injury suffered in a title defense match against Miguel Cotto in 2010 at Yankee Stadium.

Foreman told The Algemeiner he was pleased with his performance. “I felt great in the ring. I felt fresh, and sharp, and strong. It was as good a performance as it could be,” he said.

Asked whether he was happy with the status of his comeback, he responded in the affirmative: “Absolutely. According to our plan, we are there.”

Foreman, who lives in Brooklyn and is studying to be a rabbi, said he is uncertain as to who he will fight next; his only immediate plan is to take a week off to rest after this fight, and then get back to training.
