Assemblyman Todd Kaminsky thanked the New York State Department of Transportation for meeting him on Friday, February 6, on NYS Route 878 to make expeditious repairs to dangerous potholes.

“NYS Route 878 is in dire need of a complete overhaul. Until that can be done, I thank NYS DOT for addressing the dangerous potholes and repairing them on Friday evening,” said Assemblyman Kaminsky.

“On February 3, Chaverim of the Five Towns and Far Rockaway had an enormous call-volume increase for flat tires due to huge potholes on the 878 highway. We posted to our Facebook page warning local motorists of the area. Assemblyman Kaminsky immediately contacted us for the exact location of the potholes and within the next 24 hours had a Department of Transportation truck there filling in the potholes. He personally supervised the operation. We are so impressed and thankful for his incredibly fast response. We thank him for helping us to help the community!” said Binyamin Lipsky, co-director of Chaverim of the Five Towns and Rockaway.
