The group came to learn about the latest innovations in interactive education being used by AMIT to teach 34,000 students throughout the country.

AMIT is Israel’s premier education network. Its success at enabling students from various socioeconomic backgrounds to reach their fullest potential and become productive members of society with successful futures has received international acclaim. The delegation’s visit centered on studying the teaching and learning methods the school employs. The visit’s highlight was the group joining sixth-grade students for an interactive Talmud lesson on the intricacies of Chanukah. The visiting principals were impressed with the depth and organization of the lesson and students’ knowledge of the material. Some even kept the study pages for further research and learning.

The delegation was accompanied by the director of the Ma’ale Adumim municipal Department of Education. They also met with school faculty and students to hear about the innovative and collaborative learning taking place.

“AMIT schools throughout the country consistently receive national recognition for being centers of excellence and we are proud of the great work our teachers and administrators are doing in building the future of Israel one child at a time,” said AMIT Director General Amnon Eldar. “We’re excited about the opportunity to share our model with education systems in other countries, including South Korea.”

Founded in 1925, AMIT is the premier education network in Israel, serving 34,000 students each year in its 110 schools in 29 cities throughout Israel. AMIT enables students to realize their fullest potential and strengthens Israeli society by educating and nurturing children from diverse backgrounds within a framework of academic excellence, religious values, and Zionist ideals.
