The Lawrence Yacht and Country Club was rededicated on the afternoon of Sunday, November 3, after being rebuilt and restored in the aftermath of last year’s Superstorm Sandy. Lawrence Mayor Marty Oliner recognized local officials, village employees, and volunteers for doing their part in rebuilding the community. Mayor Oliner also presented an award to the Five Towns Jewish Times for our special and incisive coverage of the storm and its aftermath. Pictured here are Mayor Oliner with (1) Rabbi Dovid Greenblatt of the Davis Memorial Fund and (2) Lawrence Trustees Irving Langer and Michael Fragin, presenting an award to Town of Hempstead Supervisor Kate Murray.
