Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim of Queens is to hold its annual breakfast reception for the Five Towns-Far Rockaway community on Sunday, February 19. The event is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Irving Langer, 215 Harborview South in Lawrence.
This year’s reception promises to be a morning of inspiration. The gathering will be honored by the presence of the roshei yeshiva Rav Dovid Harris and Rav Akiva Grunblatt. Rabbi Harris and Rabbi Dovid Weinberger, mara d’asra of Congregation Shaaray Tefilah, will address the assembly.
For the past two years, members of Shaaray Tefilah have enjoyed a unique opportunity to study with chavrusos from the yeshiva’s kollel on a weekly basis. This is part of the yeshiva’s community beis medrash program.
The Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim network is comprised of over 4,000 students. The thriving yeshiva in Queens is a makom of Torah to more than 400 talmidim and 200 kollel members. Many of the yeshiva’s musmachim have settled in and are serving the Five Towns-Far Rockaway community as mechanchim, rabbanim, and outreach professionals.
Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim of Queens is located at 7601 147th Street, Flushing, NY 11367. For further details, please contact Rabbi Moshe Winter at 917-612-9339 or mwinter@rabbinical.org.
