Chabad of Hewlett recently opened their doors to the community and hasn’t closed them since! Their recent program, “Got Shabbat?” has brought a new liveliness to Friday nights in Hewlett. The program welcomes Jewish people regardless of affiliation to get a taste of Shabbat in a comfortable and relaxing environment. The program includes a friendly and welcoming meet-and-greet, user-friendly services, and a light kiddush supper for all to enjoy. Last week’s program was sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Meir and Aliza Roth.
“Got Shabbat?” is only one of the multitude of ongoing activities being initiated at Chabad of Hewlett that has met with huge success. The Chabad of Hewlett is conveniently located at 1160 Broadway. The next “Got Shabbat” will be on Friday, February 24, at 6:30 p.m. with a Korean-style Shabbat dinner sponsored by Melanie Erlich. Chabad will be hosting a chanukat ha’bayit to their new Chabad House on Broadway on Sunday, February 26, 11:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. along with the beginning of writing a new sefer Torah. Feel free to stop by, call 516-295-3413 or e‑mail Chabad@JewishHewlett.com to find out about more about the programming.
