Production 2014 at the Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls was amazing! On motzaeiShabbat and Sunday, December 27 and 28, the SKA cast and crew channeled their efforts to make this year’s Production one of the most memorable ever. Under the leadership of Mrs. Terri Wagner, “First Lady of SKA Theater,” over 200 students participated in Production.

This year’s theme, “Love and Brotherhood,” was especially poignant in view of the events in Israel over last few months and was beautifully expressed through marvelously crafted dances, musical and comical dramas, inspiring harmonies, a terrific band, and a unique and touching sign-language segment. The SKA auditorium was filled with mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, teachers, friends, alumnae, and eighth-grade applicants who watched this remarkable display of talent.

Mrs. Spirn, SKA’s head of school, proudly noted, “Each student shone on stage and also behind the scenes with props, lighting, sound, scenery, costumes, and playbill. The dedication and commitment of all these students was wonderful; what an incredible outlet for our students’ self-expression and creativity. Each student was able to build her sense of self-esteem while enjoying the experience of working with a group and getting close with girls in all grades.”

We look forward to Production 2015!
