The 4th Annual Gourmet Glatt Bowl-A-Thon to benefit Madraigos at Woodmere Lanes was another sell-out event. This signature event has become an annual Madraigos tradition among Five Towns residents, local businesses, friends, and supporters. Over 250 participants came out in full force to battle it out for pins and prizes and have a fun night with friends.
The event brought together a diverse group of bowlers from across the tri-state area and beyond. Exciting contests were held throughout the night including the popular Red Pin Contest. David Jaison, mentalist, wowed the crowd as he performed throughout the night. The raffle drawing was the highlight of the evening at a packed Woodmere Lanes. A five-day trip to the Dominican Republic, Invicta men’s watch, JetBlue gift card, 32-inch TV, unique sports memorabilia items, and special sports game tickets were raffled off to happy bowlers. Another drawing was held for a shopping spree at Gourmet Glatt Emporium. Complimentary gifts including a Bowl-A-Thon T-shirt and swag bags full of wonderful items were distributed to all bowlers while event sponsors received custom bowling shirts with their business logo.
“I was thrilled with the opportunity to partner with Madraigos for this special event and help generate awareness and funds for the quality programs and services that Madraigos provides,” stated Yoeli Steinberg of Gourmet Glatt, a state-of-the art-kosher supermarket in the heart of the Five Towns. “Thank you to all participants for making this event a success.”
Madraigos acknowledges the efforts of the dedicated Bowl-A-Thon committee members who worked tirelessly to solicit business sponsors and create this most successful event. Moshe Klein, of MK Creative Group, has creativity beyond compare and Madraigos greatly appreciates his efforts for his outstanding work and expertise in marketing, graphic design, printing, and Web services.
Rabbi Dov Silver, founder and executive VP, commented, “I am grateful to our sponsors and participants for their dedication to Madraigos’s mission. Due to their generosity, we can continue to effectively help our young people and their families who desperately need our services.”
“We are thrilled with the outcome of our Annual Bowl-A-Thon. This year’s event had over 100 local corporate sponsors,” said Rabbi Josh Zern, executive director. “The continued support of our community has allowed Madraigos to be an innovative and highly regarded youth service provider in the Five Towns/Queens community. The nightly “Lounge” activities, support groups, and school-based services program continue to grow and gain stronger momentum as more and more schools partner with us. We have to make sure this expansion moves forward.”
