A rare mitzvah was performed two weeks ago at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn—pidyon petter chamor. The firstborn male chamor is redeemed with a sheep given to a kohein. The speakers were Rabbi Saul Kassin, Rabbi Eli Mansour, Rabbi Aharon Simantov, and Rabbi Moshe Tuvia Lieff. Jack Scaba of Congregation Hayim Shaal was the contributor and made the berachah. A tremendous crowd of men and women was present. v
