A suspect arrested in the murder of a 22-year-old man escaped from a Brooklyn police precinct early Thursday, authorities said.
Brandon Santana, 24, of Brooklyn, escaped from the 78th precinct stationhouse hours after his arrest in the 2010 slaying of Alexander Santiago, the NYPD said.
Police say one officer suffered minor injuries during the escape and is being treated at Methodist Hospital.
Santana is described as being about 5 feet 11 inches tall with short black hair and brown eyes. He weighs about 200 pounds and was last seen wearing a brown hooded jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers.
