The Avenue N Jewish Center is pleased to announce the installation of Rabbi Doniel Eisenbach on Shabbat Parashat Va’eira, December 28.

The center’s beloved mara d’asra, Rabbi Dr. Max Schreier, has led the shul for over 50 years and has now become its senior rabbi. Rabbi Schreier is a member of the board of governors of the OU. He is a past president of the Rabbinical Council of America, as well as a past president of the rabbinic alumni of RIETS. He is also a past president of the Va’ad Harabanim of Flatbush. Yeshiva University conferred upon him a Doctor of Divinity Degree for distinguished service to the yeshiva and the American Jewish Community.

Rabbi Doniel Eisenbach has been the assistant rabbi at the center for the past five years. A graduate of Yeshiva of Flatbush, Rabbi Eisenbach received his rabbinic ordination at Yeshiva Ner Yisroel in Baltimore from the rosh yeshiva Rabbi Ruderman, z’l, in 1986. While at Ner Yisroel, Rabbi Eisenbach led a group of kollel scholars in Mifal Hashas. Rabbi Eisenbach has taught halachic subjects both in Yeshiva of Flatbush middle school and in SKA High School for girls, where he is currently mashgiach ruchani. Rabbi Eisenbach also delivers popular Torah lectures to adults in the Five Towns community.

The center will be honored, iy’H, by the attendance of Rabbi Sheftel Neuberger, the menahel of Yeshivas Ner Yisrael, at the installation.

The Avenue N Jewish Center is a Modern Orthodox shul that has been serving the Flatbush community for over 90 years. The center is located at Avenue N and East Fourth Street in Brooklyn. Shabbos morning davening begins at 8:45 a.m., followed by Kiddush. v
