Netanyahu sends condolences for fatal shootings at Kansas Jewish institutions

(JNS.org) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered condolences to the victims on Sunday’s shootings at a Kansas City-area Jewish Community Center and assisted living facility that left three people dead.

“We condemn the murders, which according to all the signs were committed from hatred of Jews,” Netanyahu said in a statement that also provided condolences to the victims.

“The state of Israel, together with all civilized people, is committed to fighting this pestilence,” he added.

President Barack Obama said in a statement, “Michelle and I offer our thoughts and prayers to the families and friends who lost a loved one and everyone affected by this tragedy.”

Obama also pledged the full support of the federal government in the investigation.
