The red bracelet actor Leonardo DiCaprio has been sporting around his wrist recently has nothing to do with the Jewish mysticism called Kabaalah, the New York Post‘s Page Six revealed on Wednesday.

The Oscar nominee was spotted wearing a red bracelet while meeting Pope Francis on Jan. 28, at the SAG Awards two days later and during a Q&A for his latest film The Revenant in December.

Sources told Page Six that the red bracelet – wore by followers of Kabbalah, such as Madonna – is in fact a bracelet he got in November during his visit to Cambodia with his family and best friend, Lukas Haas. The bracelets, popular among tourists, are given by monks in return for a donation. They are believed to bring good luck.
