Philadelphia police have arrested a man who allegedly tried to abduct a 10-year-old girl while she and her little brother were walking down the street.
Police have scheduled a 2:15 p.m. news conference to provide an update on the case. The name of the suspect is expected to be released at that time.
The 10-year-old girl and her little brother were walking down the street in South Philadelphia when the attempted abduction happened.
On surveillance video, a man was seen following the two children. He grabbed the girl, put his hand over her mouth and tried to pull her away.
But then the suspect fell down and fled the scene.
Police believe it was the screams of the girl’s 2-year-old brother that scared him off.
