Police: Off-Duty FBI Agent Involved In Queens Shooting

NEW YORK – An investigation is under way after off-duty FBI agent shot at three suspects trying to break into a car early Wednesday morning, according to police.

The shooting occurred at about 5:15 a.m. on Sutter Avenue in Queens.

The NYPD says the agent shot his gun after being awoken by suspected bandits trying to break into a vehicle outside his home. The suspects got away and were being sought.

No other details were immediately available.
