For the second time this year, Rabbi Billet of the Young Israel of Woodmere visited the rehabilitation center of Beit Halochem in Jerusalem. He was accompanied by his three Israeli grandsons. Mr. Herzl Morad, manager of the center, prepared a nice surprise by unveiling a gold plaque affixed on the Wall of Honor as recognition for his involvement, together with the Young Israel of Woodmere and Nassau County, in supporting the wonderful initiative of Dr. Isaac Seinuk—the “5 Towns 5K Run/Walk” for the benefit of Zahal Disabled Veterans Organization and Beit Halochem.

Rabbi Billet visited the newly built Northern Wing of the center, which includes a modern fitness hall equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, a Pilates studio, a billiard hall, and a table tennis/multiple purpose hall.

On this occasion, Rabbi Billet gave a donation of $5,000 on behalf of the Young Israel of Woodmere. These funds were directed towards the wheelchair dance troupe and other programs for disabled veterans. v
