Sephardic Temple Welcomes New Sefer Torah

On Sunday morning, September 7, the Sephardic Temple welcomed a new sefer Torah. Donated by over 120 member families and friends of the congregation to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the synagogue, this new “Jubilee Torah” will be used every Shabbat. The hachnassat sefer Torah was attended by hundreds of people who paraded the sefer Torah along Branch Boulevard from the home of Rabbi Arnold B. Marans to the entrance of the shul, accompanied by live music and great fanfare.
