Shalhevet girls enjoy Off The Wall

As snow blanketed the ground, the warmth of Shalhevet emanated through the doors of Off The Wall. Wednesday evening, January 28, Midreshet Shalhevet treated their eighth-grade applicants to a delicious night of frozen yogurt as a chance to meet and mingle with other applicants. Girls from Queens, West Hempstead, Brooklyn, the Five Towns, and over ten different elementary schools gathered together at the popular eatery and formed new friendships. The administration and current students from Shalhevet were there as well to answer any questions and foster new introductions. Director of Student Activities Mrs. Lori Friedman stated, “I was so excited to see the girls hit it off so quickly while enjoying the delicious frozen yogurt.” Meira Nussbaum, an eleventh-grader at Shalhevet, shared that she cannot wait until they join the Shalhevet family. The evening was filled with laughter and smiles, and the girls were exchanging phone numbers and taking pictures with their new friends. A great time was had by all, and Shalhevet is looking forward to welcoming the class of 2019.
