Monday, February 23, marked the seventh annual Midreshet Shalhevet mother–daughter dinner. The ballroom overflowed as both current and prospective students and their mothers joined for a wonderful night out. The evening began with cupcake decorating by Shalhevet parent Mrs. Tsippy Nussbaum, who demonstrated how to design and present exquisite pastries. Mothers and daughters had a blast as they bedecked the cupcakes with assorted toppings.
Shortly thereafter, everyone was treated to a delicious buffet from Carlos and Gabby’s before sitting down to hear the amazing Shalhevet choir perform. The choir, led by Mrs. Andrea Schulman and consisting of students from ninth through twelfth grades, impressed the audience with beautiful melodies and flawless harmonies. Eleventh-grader Shoshi Koppel astounded the crowd with her unbelievable solo and piano skills.
Following the choir’s performance, principal Mrs. Esther Eisenman took the floor to share some insight on Megillat Esther with an interactive shiur. Mothers and daughters continued to mingle over dessert featuring a gourmet Viennese table by Shalhevet parent Ms. Chani Gold.
It was a great event and Shalhevet is truly proud to partner with such a committed parent body in educating its talmidot.
