Mayor Andrew J. Parise and the board of trustees and public officials of Cedarhurst, along with generous sponsors from local businesses and corporations, present the 17th annual summer-long Tuesday-night concerts under the gazebo. These concerts are held at the Andrew J. Parise Park, the perfect place for individuals and families to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the best local and regional entertainers.
The Village of Cedarhurst will offer a dynamic series of concerts featuring a broad variety of programs and artists. Highlights of the upcoming season include performances from Swingtime Big Band, The McLean Avenue Band, JC Revue, Sister Act, Yoni Ziegelbaum, Milagro, The New York Rat Pack, and The Tercels. Concerts begin at 8:00 p.m. Preshows begin at 7:00 p.m.
Sounds of music and rainfall filled the park in the first concert of the summer. The rain came down but this did not stop the LHS Jazz Band Ensemble and Tony “B” from putting on an incredible show. The sounds from the jazz band and the incredible voice of Tony “B” drowned out the sound of the rain, while the audience sang along. They loved it so much, one audience member said, “Neither rain nor sleet will keep me from these concerts.”
These concerts are scheduled for every Tuesday until the end of August. For more information, call 516-295-5770, or visit www.cedarhurst.gov. Also follow on twitter www.twitter.com/ourcedarhurst and on Facebook www.facebook.com/ourcedarhurst. v
