(JNS.org) Nine people, including a baby, were wounded in a suspected terrorist attack in Jerusalem on Wednesday when a car plowed into passengers exiting the city’s light rail train. The driver of the vehicle was also wounded after being shot by police officers. He was hospitalized after being detained.
“There was a suspect vehicle that hit and struck nine people that were waiting at the train stop. As a result the suspect tried to flee the scene and was shot by police officers in the vicinity,” Israeli Police Spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told The Algemeiner.
The injured baby is hospitalized and in critical condition at the Hadassah Mt. Scopus Hospital, along with two other seriously wounded pedestrians. The other injured pedestrians have moderate and light injuries.
