JERUSALEM — While in Jerusalem with her husband, Secretary of State John Kerry, Teresa Heinz Kerry (center) and Julie Fisher, wife of U. S. Ambassador to Israel Daniel Shapiro (right), met with Prof. Tamar Peretz, Head of Hadassah’s Sharett Institute of Oncology, for an in-depth discussion of cancer research and treatment. Describing some of her recent research, Prof. Peretz detailed her department’s involvement with East Jerusalem’s Augusta Victoria Hospital and the study they are conducting jointly on the increase in breast cancer among young Jewish and Arab women.
