WIZO Launches Florida’s First Kosher Food & Wine Festival, December 18

Hundreds of food and wine connoisseurs from throughout the country will converge at Miami’s Kosher Food and Wine Experience December 18 to sample hundreds of kosher wines and exquisite gourmet foods presented by the top kosher restaurants and caterers in South Florida.

According to Women’s International Zionist Organization U.S.A. President Jana Falic, the event offers tourists and residents an opportunity to discover the elegant food and award-winning wines that kosher venues now offer. “People will be amazed at the versatility and refined tastes offered by our kosher establishments,” Falic explained. “We’ve assembled the best of the best—many of Miami’s best chefs have relocated here from all over the globe, and that international flair is expressed in the food, and in the way it’s presented.”

“We hope to introduce nonobservant people to something other than what they may remember from their Bubbe’s traditional cooking,” Falic continued. “If we help one Jewish person change their perception of kosher food, and one day keep a kosher home, then we will have achieved our goal.”

The Kosher Food and Wine Experience will feature 17 Sushi; Europa Restaurant & Grill; Ktering Desserts; Le Chocolatier; Praline Pastries; Events by Premier; Mokafe; Carol Franco Catering; Greenseid Caterers; Bourekas, Etc.; and more. More than 30 wineries represented by the Israeli Wine Producers Association including Herzog Wine Cellars, Psagot, Tulip, Castel, Tabor, Capcanes, Morad, and Flam will also offer samplings.

Also planned is an exclusive kosher dinner party with Chef Moshe Segev on Tuesday, December 17, at a Miami estate-home. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to dine with South Florida’s greatest food connoisseurs,” Falic said. “We want to bring together food lovers, wine aficionados, gourmands, and anyone interested in sampling the incredible kosher foods and wines available today.” Tickets for the KFWE’s private dinner party with Chef Moshe Segev are $1,000 per person.

The Kosher Food and Wine Experience will take place on Wednesday, December 18, 7:00–10:30 p.m., at Gulfstream Park’s Sport of Kings Theater. Tickets are available for $150 per person, which includes full access to the event. Guests may enhance their experience by purchasing VIP tickets at $200 per person, which includes entry to a VIP Reception, 6:00–7:00 p.m.
