Ann Salpeter Schockett, longtime Woodmere resident and president of the Nassau County Federation of Republican Women, was unanimously elected to the executive board of the New York State Federation of Republican Women, a state chapter of the national organization of 90,000 members. Ann is the first Jewish woman to serve on the NYSFRW board. Ann is also the first Jewish woman to hold the title as president of the Nassau County Federation of Republican Women.
Ann Schockett is the former Woodmere Republican executive leader and a recipient of the Nassau County Young Republicans’ esteemed Executive Leader of the Year Award. She is a public relations and media professional active in public service and civics for most of her life. Schockett is a well-known advocate for women’s rights and equality and a citizen lobbyist for humane rights for animals. Among recent accomplishments is serving as a member of the Board of Regents for the Center for Security Policy based in Washington, DC. v
