Dr. Ranan and Mrs. Helen Wolff were named Parents of the Year.

On Sunday evening at the White Shul, Yeshiva of South Shore honored Dr. Ranan and Mrs. Helen Wolff as Parents of the Year; Rabbi Elchonon (Rebbe Elie) and Mrs. Sara Herzberg as Toras Chaim Awardees; and Mr. Zoli Honig (Class of 2002) as Alumnus of the Year. Mr. Thomas Locascio, Director of District Operations for Senate Majority Leader Dean G. Skelos, was presented with the Government Leadership Award.

From its founding in East New York 87 years ago and then for 57 years on Long Island, Yeshiva Toras Chaim of South Shore has inculcated in thousands of children and young men the Torah values and the leadership skills to enable the torch of Jewish leadership to pass to future generations. The YOSS dinner is always an enjoyable event and most parents of the yeshiva look forward to spending the evening with the entire YOSS family. A sumptuous buffet is followed by a short and entertaining dinner program and video (available for viewing at www.yoss.org), topped by the YOSS fourth-grade choir led by Mordechai Shapiro.
