(JNS.org) Yeshiva University President Richard Joel ($855,037) and Simon Wiesenthal Center Dean Rabbi Marvin Hier ($751,054) topped the Forward newspaper’s 2013 list of the highest-paid heads of American Jewish non-profits.

Rounding out the top 10 were Stephen Hoffman of the Jewish Community Federation of the Cleveland ($722,061), Frederick Lawrence of Brandeis University ($705,843), Abraham Foxman of the Anti-Defamation League ($688,280), Jerry Silverman of the Jewish Federations of North America ($612,989), Matthew Brooks of the Republican Jewish Coalition ($563,372), Howard Kohr of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee ($556,232), Matthew Levin of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County ($551,548), and Alan Gill of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee ($539,439).
