ZAKA Search and Rescue and Magen David Adom have agreed to a memorandum of understanding to expand their operational cooperation. ZAKA volunteers who have undergone the required training will download the MDA app and will join the thousands of first responders who work in cooperation with MDA and are dispatched to save lives at incidents around the country.
ZAKA Chairman Yehuda Meshi-Zahav stated, “I welcome the decision to cooperate with MDA and I am sure that the results will be far-reaching and save lives among the Israeli public.”
MDA Director-General Eli Bin commented, “There is great importance in working shoulder-to-shoulder and with operational cooperation with ZAKA, which deals with chesed shel emet, and [this] will help save lives.”
