War! What It’s Good For

By: Larry Gordon

As you can see by the state of the world these days, war is good for absolutely nothing.

You can hear President Trump say it repeatedly, that over one million soldiers have been killed in the Russia-Ukraine War during these last three years.

Considering the distractions created by the possible moves toward peace in the Russia-Ukraine situation, it was a week where words like Gaza, Hamas, Netanyahu, and food were not even mentioned. Israel could have done whatever it pleased as the media was focused on other issues.

For the next two weeks, the talk will be about a possible Putin-Zelensky meeting that might take place in Budapest. In the meantime, in the background, Hamas is said to have agreed to release 10 living Jewish prisoners and 18 deceased ones in exchange for hundreds of living Palestinian murderers.

You see, when Israel kills a terrorist and rightfully so, they usually return the body to the family right away. That’s because it makes no sense to hold on to the dead body of a terrorist. But on the other hand, these savages understand that the Jews place great respect and sanctity on a dead body and will always accord it a dignified, proper burial.

The Palestinian terrorists are basically savages, a people who embody the Biblical description of a “pereh adam,” a wild ass of a man whose hand is against everyone, and everyone’s hand is against him. To this, Onkelos adds that he will be a wild, uncivilized man and will rebel against the laws of people, and to this the Ibn Ezra adds that he will be uncontrolled and uncontrollable. Free to maim and destroy.

In response to the Hamas so-called positive response, Prime Minister Netanyahu said that Israel’s requirement at this point after their citizens have been held almost two years in captivity is the release of all living hostages, said to be about 20.

Reports on Wednesday confirmed that Israeli tanks were making their way toward Gaza City, where most of the active terrorists are located. In this case, not unlike Putin in Russia, Hamas has to be pushed to the maximum. The sword has to be at their necks in order to get them to react at least partly civilly.

And it’s the same with Putin. The day after the Russian President met with Trump in Alaska, he unleashed a series of bombings in residential areas of Ukraine, killing more than 50 people.

Life has no meaning for Hamas or Putin. Hamas wants Israel pushed out of their region and for starters, Putin wants to recover Ukraine, which up to 1991 was part of the USSR, and before that, the Russian Empire.

The key here is that Israel can accomplish a great deal more with the media focus on Russia and Ukraine instead of chronically-ill Gazan children who are being described by The New York Times and the Washington Post as children suffering from starvation.

If Israel is finally going to execute a plan and unleash their power, now is the time. Netanyahu knows it and Trump knows it. Let’s go.
