Congressman Anthony D’Esposito (NY-04) sent a letter to President Biden today urging the President to end his pause on providing military aid to Israel amid that country’s ongoing war against Hamas.  Indeed, D’Esposito was incensed by the pause in critical military support as the Jewish State battles against terrorists in Rafah responsible for the mass slaughter of innocent civilians during the October 7th attacks of last year.

In the letter, D’Esposito noted, “On April 20, 2024, less than one month ago, Republicans and Democrats in both the House of Representatives and the Senate joined together to pass over $26 billion in critical support to Israel. I was proud to cast my vote in support of this legislation. With this vote, Congress made clear that we strongly support our ally Israel and wish to continue materially supporting their military endeavors to keep their nation safe against terrorists.”

D’Esposito continued“If you are truly concerned with protecting the lives of innocent civilians, both in Gaza and Israel, the best course of action is helping Israel to eradicate Hamas expeditiously.  We have watched as Hamas has continued to attack aid coming into Gaza, which should surprise no one.  This terrorist group has a brutal history of cowardly hiding behind human shields and a general disregard for human life.  If you want to protect innocent life, your course of action should be clear: ensure that Israel receives American aid as quickly as possible.”
