Just two weeks ago, first son-in-law Jared Kushner met in Egypt with the leader of the terror group, Hamas. The meeting was about disarming the terrorists and filling in the underground tunnels.

Of course, Kushner doesn’t do anything without direction from President Trump. Since Kushner is not a member of his administration, there’s no official change in U.S. policy along the lines of meeting with terror groups like Hamas, but it marks the first time the U.S. has negotiated directly with Hamas since it was designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization in 1997.

Perhaps even more surprising was Kushner’s meeting a few weeks ago with Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, ostensibly to discuss how Democrats and Republicans are going to work together (or not), especially if the Democrats take the House and Senate in this coming November midterm election.

It’s a good move by Trump to prepare himself and his party for any possible outcome in the midterm election. Of course, many Democrats are chomping at the bit to go straight to impeachment proceedings if they win a House majority. On the other hand, impeaching Donald Trump twice in his first term did not work out so well for the Democrats when all is said and done.

Prior to the 2024 election, the Democrats pulled Trump through the judicial wringer in multiple states and multiple fronts. The Democrats were committed to pulling out all the stops and doing anything they could to prevent a second Trump term. They failed miserably. Hopefully this time it will be the same story.

It’s somewhat of a tradition that the party in the White House loses the House and sometimes even the Senate during the midterm elections. That in part is why Kushner is doing all he can to work with the opposition to do what’s best for the country in the long run. Don’t overlook the fact that Trump can’t run again in 2028, and the Democrats think this is their big chance. 

At the same time, with redistricting in states like Florida and Texas, there’s a fairly good chance that Republicans will be able to retain control of the House and Senate and perhaps even increase their majority.

Bear in mind that if the Democrats take over in November, America will be subjected to non-stop attacks on Donald Trump and his administration for the next two years. Apparently, there are indications that the Democrats might not want to repeat their past activity when they were just exercising personal grudges in their harassing of Mr. Trump.

It looks like Jared Kushner is quietly and steadfastly becoming a key player in the Trump future plan on multiple levels with the goal of keeping this country and the world moving forward, whether it’s in Gaza, Tehran, or Brooklyn, reaching agreements that can help us all.
