Donald Trump is not just about to step into his second term as President of the United States. He has stated frequently that he is the leader of a movement or a cavalcade of supporters who are mesmerized by what he has accomplished and achieved.
Among these not so insignificant numbers of followers is a large group of women from North Carolina who he points out at just about every rally at various parts of the country, who follow him and are there to support him no matter where he is speaking.
Then there is another group that President Trump refers to as “Front Row Joes,” who are apparently a group of men who are also at almost every one of his energy-packed marathon rallies that led to his historical reelection earlier this month.
Then there is a group of a few Orthodox Jewish women who go by the moniker, “Ladies in Red.” Named for their red apparel and of course their red MAGA caps.
Last week, I spoke with Sharon Beck (@sharonsellsmiami), a Miami-born real estate agent who is one of the leading Ladies in Red. She resides in South Florida and makes it her business to be at Mar-a-Lago events, as she was on election night.
Sharon is also an associate producer of the highly anticipated Drama series called
“One Day in October” Coming to streaming networks soon.
Sharon was accompanied by Yael Lyons Jungreis (Yael_Jungreis) whose family are long time Trump supporters, Victoria Zirkiev (@Victoria_Zirkiev)
who is a Jewish influencer & Monica Guttman (@Jewishlifematters) A Jewish Activist
There are sometimes thousands of people at these events, as there were at the election returns viewing party on November 5, Election Day.
One of the things that stands out about them is how noticeable they are in their red dresses and caps. They used to say about Ronald Reagan that if you were a reporter at a press conference and you wanted to increase your chances of being called on, you had to wear a red tie, or a red blouse or dress if you were a woman. The point is that Mr. Reagan was more apt to recognize you if you wore red. Which brings us to the Ladies in Red.
The Ladies in Red have been written about in newspapers around the world by reporters covering the Trump campaign. As the New York Post points out, Trump beat Harris by five points with the largest female demographic, white women, and increased his vote with young women by seven points over the last election. Their motivation, according to Sharon Beck, is to show love and support for Trump, and they are rooting for his success as he takes office on January 20.
The “Ladies in Red were empowered & inspired by Philanthropist Miriam Adelson, one of Mr. Trump’s largest financial supporters. The widow of the late casino mogul, Sheldon Adelson, a’h, was said to have donated significantly to the PACs supporting the Trump campaign this year.
As far as Sheldon Adelson’s support for Trump, that relationship goes back to the 2016 election when Adelson is reported to have supported the Trump campaign to the tune of more than $300 million. The word at the time was that the arrangement was that Trump would move the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Apparently, they both delivered.
The next plan on the agenda for the Ladies in Red is the inauguration in Washington, D.C. on January 20. They are planning on attending and will no doubt stand out because of their extraordinary support for Mr. Trump and of course, all that red shining brightly will help them stand out too.
