HANC High School Connects With Alumni at Annual Chanukah Gathering

HANC Chanukah gathering for alumnae

HANC High School’s connection to its alumni is renowned. There are so many ways in which administrators, rebbeim, and morot continue to keep in touch with former students on a regular basis.

Through the Thursday night Midreshet HANC Shiur at the home of Morah Linda Nathan, the monthly Queens College shiur with Rabbi Shimon Chrein, the West Hempstead shiur with Rabbi Sam Rudansky, the halachah chat with Rabbi Tsvi Selengut, or extending invitations for Shabbatot and chagim, this connection to alumnae and alumni is reenergized during its annual Chanukah gatherings.

On December 24 and 26, over 60 recent alumni gathered to celebrate with their teachers over dinner and doughnuts. The men’s event was held at the home of Rabbi Sam Rudansky, where divrei Torah were shared by rebbeim. The women’s event was held at the home of HANC high school’s principal/menahel, Rabbi Shlomo Adelman, which included a shiur by Rabbi Yisrael Weingot. All those in attendance were excited to catch up and rekindle their connection with so many of their high-school friends and teachers. It was simply heartwarming!
